Dept. of EEE would like to share yet another success story of one of our EEE, UIU alumni!

Ilham Osman, who did her BSc in EEE from UIU, has recently completed her PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia (2020). Her PhD dissertation, titled “Optimal Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control Strategies for Induction Motor Drives”, has been widely focused on model predictive torque and flux control of induction motor fed by two-level and three-level neutral point clamped voltage source inverters.

Dr. Ilham Osman is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Wind Institute (NWI), Texas Tech University, USA, where her research focuses on micro-grid modeling, robust control of accurate load sharing among inverters, solar energy, and battery control for a micro-grid system. Please visit her google scholar profile for more information.

We congratulate Dr. Ilham Osman for her outstanding achievement and wish her a successful career!
