Successful Completion of Seminar on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
January 21, 2025The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), United International University (UIU), in collaboration with the IEEE UIU Student Branch, proudly organized an enlightening seminar on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) titled “BESS Solution – For Better Energy Flexibility and Controllability”. The event was held on January 19, 2025, at Room 126, UIU Campus.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Bob Ding, Country Manager of NR Electric Co., Ltd., shared his vast expertise in power systems, renewable energy, and advanced grid technologies. His presentation highlighted innovative solutions for energy storage systems, including insights into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Static VAR Compensators (SVC), Fault Current Limiters (FCL), and advanced SCADA systems.
The seminar witnessed an enthusiastic response from students, faculty members, and professionals, all of whom actively participated in the discussions. The interactive session provided valuable knowledge on the applications and advancements in BESS, emphasizing the importance of energy flexibility and controllability in modern power grids.
