Unlocking Career Opportunities in the Power and Telecom Sector: A Seminar at UIU

Dhaka, December 7, 2024 – The IEEE UIU Student Branch, in collaboration with Thevenin EEE Job Guideline, hosted a highly engaging seminar titled “Guidelines to Unlock Career Opportunities in the Power and Telecom Sector.” This inspiring session aimed to empower students and young professionals with insights and strategies for thriving in the rapidly evolving power and telecom industries.
The seminar featured three renowned industry professionals who shared their invaluable experiences:
Md. Miskatul Islam, Assistant Engineer at PGCB, with prior roles as Assistant Manager at BTCL and Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Junaed Hassan Nazmul, Assistant Engineer in Network Operation and Customer Service at DPDC.
Md. Mahmudur Rahman Sayem, Senior Officer in Renewable Energy-Technical at IDCOL.
Each speaker provided comprehensive insights into the technical, managerial, and innovative dimensions of their fields, inspiring attendees with their journeys and achievements.
The session was thoughtfully designed to address:
Career opportunities and growth trajectories in the power and telecom sectors.
Challenges faced during recruitment and workplace adaptation.
The essential academic and skill-based preparation required for success in government and private-sector roles.
