Football Tournament

Objective :
This futsal tournament aims to bring together soccer enthusiasts for a
competitive yet friendly tournament. The event will foster sportsmanship,
teamwork, and community engagement through a series of matches that
showcase skill, strategy, and passion for the game.

Eligibility:
● Must be a running student of UIU EEE department.
Team Formation:
● Each team must have 7 players on the field, including the goalkeeper.
● Teams are allowed up to 10 players in total (7 active players + 3
substitutes).

Rules & Regulations:
1. Game Duration:
○ Each game consists of two halves of 10 minutes each, with a
5-minute halftime break.
○ In the event of a draw in knockout rounds, the game will go to
penalty shootouts.
2. Substitutions:
○ Unlimited substitutions are allowed, but must be made during
stoppages in play.
○ Substituted players can re-enter the game.
3. Scoring:
○ Standard futsal scoring rules apply. Each goal counts as one point.
4. Fouls and Misconduct:
○ Yellow card = Warning.
○ Red card = Ejection from the game and a 2-minute suspension for
the team (the team plays with 4 players).
○ Accumulation of two yellow cards by one player in a match results in
a red card.
5. Goalkeeper Rules:
○ The goalkeeper is allowed to use hands only within the penalty area.
○ The goalkeeper must release the ball within 5 seconds.
6. Ball in Play:
○ Kick-ins replace throw-ins.
○ The ball is out of play when it crosses the sidelines or the goal line.
7. Disciplinary Actions:
○ Aggressive behavior, including fights, will result in the team’s
disqualification.
○ Any team found violating eligibility rules will be disqualified.
