On August 9, 2025 the UIU Electrical & Electronic Club (UIU EEC) organized a highly informative workshop on Transformer Design, delivered by Dr. Intekab Alam, Professor of the Department of EEE. The event provided students with a valuable mix of theoretical foundations and practical, hands-on learning.

The session introduced participants to core principles of transformer design and operation, and complemented the theory with real materials, essential components, and demonstrations using small transformers. This practical approach helped students visualize the design process and clarified several complex concepts.

Attendees benefited from step-by-step explanations and live demonstrations that linked classroom theory to real engineering practice. The hands-on exposure not only reinforced technical understanding but also encouraged students to think creatively about future applications in electrical engineering.
