The UIU Electrical & Electronic Club is organizing an exclusive PCB Design Workshop designed to help participants gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in PCB design using Altium Designer. This workshop will take participants through the complete process of designing, laying out, and testing PCBs – from concept to real hardware implementation.

Workshop Outline

Part 1 – Concepts & Design Foundation (2.5 hours)

• Real-world applications: Solar systems, robotics, LED drivers, batteries
• Hands-on schematic design: footprints, ERC checks

Part 2 – PCB Layout & Testing (2.5 hours)

• PCB layout rules, component placement & routing strategies
• Adding silkscreen, vias, and ground planes
• Gerber file export, assembly & voltage testing
• Troubleshooting and interactive Q&A session

Prerequisite

Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of circuits and electronics.
