The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) at United International University proudly hosted EEE Day 2025, a vibrant celebration showcasing the creativity, technical excellence, and collaborative spirit of our students, faculty, and alumni. The day-long event brought together hundreds of participants in a dynamic blend of competitions, cultural activities, and insightful interactive sessions designed to strengthen the academic and professional foundations of our future engineers.

Inauguration & Rally: A Day That Began With Unity

The event was inaugurated in the UIU Playground in the presence of our esteemed senior faculty members including Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, Dr. Khaled Masukur Rahman, Dr. Raqibul Mostafa, Dr. Intekhab Alam, and many others. The inauguration ceremony featured the release of colorful gas balloons and an energetic EEE Day Rally, symbolizing the unity of the UIU EEE community. This rally served as a joyful starting point, encouraging interaction between teachers and students and fostering a warm sense of belonging.

Technical Competitions: Learning Through Innovation

Following the inauguration, the competitive events began, focusing on hands-on learning, innovation, and teamwork. The robotics competitions were the centerpiece of the technical segment:

  • Racing Bot Competition – Students designed high-speed robots capable of navigating unknown terrains with precision and efficiency.
  • Soccer Bot Challenge – Teams competed head-to-head using robots of their own design, showcasing strategy, control, and mechanical ingenuity.
  • Line Follower Robot (LFR) – A collaborative competition that brought together students from both EEE and CSE as they raced to complete complex checkpoint-based tracks in the shortest possible time.

In addition to the robotics segment, several engineering competitions were organized as part of EEE Day 2025, highlighting diverse technical skills across the department. These included:

  • Transformer Design Contest
  • VLSI Design Competition
  • PCB Design Competition
  • MATLAB Application Challenge
  • Circuit Solving & Analysis Competition

Many of these competitions were conducted in the days leading up to EEE Day, and the winners were formally announced during the main event. Prior to the competitions, students participated in specialized workshops led by UIU faculty members and invited industry experts arranged by the Department of EEE. These workshops provided foundational training, hands-on demonstrations, and real-world insights, ensuring that students were well-prepared and able to make the most of each competitive segment.

Each segment was evaluated by our experienced faculty members under a structured and transparent rubric. Winners received certificates and awards to recognize their achievements and inspire them to refine and advance their innovations for future opportunities.

In parallel, a Photography Competition encouraged the artistic talents of the participants, reminding everyone that engineering is enriched by creativity and diverse perspectives.

A lunch break followed, giving students, faculty, and guests the opportunity to connect informally.

Student–Alumni Engagement: Building Bridges for the Future

The afternoon session began with a warm welcome to UIU’s distinguished alumni, held in the auditorium. Strengthening student–alumni relationships was one of the primary goals of EEE Day 2025, and the program was designed to maximize meaningful interaction.

To set a friendly atmosphere, a fun Faculty–Student Game Session was organized, helping to break the ice and build a more personal connection between the current students and the professionals who once stood in their place.

Flagship Segment – Alumni–Student Career Dialogue

The highlight of the day was the dedicated Knowledge Sharing Session between alumni and students. In this open forum, alumni shared real-world experiences, industry insights, career paths, and valuable technical advice.

This session empowered students to envision themselves as the next generation of leaders innovators who will shape the future of the engineering world, just as their alumni mentors are doing today.

Prize Giving Ceremony & Closing

The final part of the event was held in the UIU Auditorium, where winners from the robotics, photography, and all the engineering competitions were awarded by senior faculty members including Dr. Siddique Md. Lutful Kabir, Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, and others.

In addition, winners of Capstone Project I, II, and III were also honored ,highlighting UIU EEE’s commitment to nurturing research excellence and project-based learning.

The day concluded with cultural performances and a vibrant photo session, capturing the joy and success of a memorable celebration.
